Slit stainless steel coils (also called strip coils or precision slitted tapes) are narrow-width coils created by passing wide master coils through continuous rotary slitting blades. This secondary processing operation converts standard wide mill coils ($1000\text{ mm} – 1500\text{ mm}$) into exact, narrow-width strips tailored to customer-specified tolerances.
